James Gunn REHIRED by Disney
Over six months ago, we were all riddled with shock when news that Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume II director and longtime producer at Marvel Studios, James Gunn, was fired due to insensitive tweets he posted many, many years ago. Whether or not this decision will be mired in controversy for the years to come, we'll never know because news has just broke that James Gunn has been rehired by Disney. It is unknown what the extent o his contract is at this point, but Gunn has been confirmed to direct the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume III. He will also be directing Suicide Squad 2 for DC and Warner Bros., but additional reports have surfaced that the production of both films will not impact the other. More to come.
