Weekend Box Office Report Predictions (June 7th - June 9th)

Every week, I look at the films opening this week as well as the films that have already opened to predict which films will be in the top 10. Let's take a look.

1. The Secret Life of Pets 2 - Surprisingly, the comic book movie out this weekend is not set to take the number one spot. The animated sequel, The Secret Life of Pets 2 is looking to snatch the number one spot out of Dark Phoenix's hands. 

2. X-Men: Dark Phoenix - While perhaps not taking the number one spot, Dark Phoenix should have a decently large opening weekend. While projected to be the lowest in the franchise, it will be enough to get it to the number two spot. 

3. Aladdin - Aladdin will continue rolling until Toy Story 4 hits theaters. The film appeals to the widest audience this weekend, from young and old alike, and looks to continue their box office success. 

4. Godzilla: King of the Monsters - While not the most successful film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters looks to stick in the top 5 at the box office this weekend as well. 

5. Rocketman - The biopic about the legend Elton John, starring Taron Egerton, will be in the top five for another weekend. Look for it to have long legs, but ultimately, drop steadily at the box office.
