Woody Harrelson Role in Venom Revealed?
Awhile back, reports that War for the Planet of the Apes and Solo: A Star Wars Story actor Woody Harrelson would be appearing in some capacity in the upcoming Venom film. Now, reports from BleedingCool claim that an anonymous tip has confirmed who he will be playing. According to this tip, Harrelson will be playing the primary antagonist of the film, Cleatus Kassady AKA Carnage. Carnage was a prominent foe to Venom in the comic run Lethal Protector, in which Venom became an anti-hero and fought alongside heroes such as Spider-Man. As this is the route the film seems to be taking, it may not come as much of a surprise that Carnage will be featured. At this point in time, these are just rumors and should not be taken as fact.
Venom opens on October 5th, 2018.
