Wonder Wonder Opening Weekend Box Office Tracking High

Wonder Wonder Opening Weekend Box Office Tracking High

With the newest installment of the DCEU making its official debut tonight and opening in wide release tomorrow, critics and fans wonder what the box office returns for this film will be. A week ago, the tracking said that this film would open to around a $65 million opening; still a substantial amount of money but nowhere near Batman v. Superman and Suicide Squad's $100 million+ opening.

However, new reports have indicated that Wonder Woman will instead open at around $95-$100 million domestically this weekend. This could be due to the massively positive buzz that this movie is getting, both with critics and wit fans. This would put it at around the same numbers as the first Iron Man, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

We won't have long to wait to see how the Princess of the Amazons fares at the box office.

Wonder Woman opens on June 2nd, 2017. It stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Connie Nielsen, and Danny Huston. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, Diana meets an American pilot (Chris Pine) who tells her about the massive conflict that's raging in the outside world. Convinced that she can stop the threat, Diana leaves her home for the first tie. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.
