Young Han Solo Movie Loses Directors
As Episode 8 and the Young Han Soo movie rapidly approach, bad news has emerged from the depths of Lucasfilm. Phil Lord and Chris Miller, directors of the untitled Han Solo film, have allegedly been fired from the project. This does not bode well for anyone involved due to the fact that only three weeks of shooting remain. Front-runners as of now are directors Joe Johnston and Ron Howard.
Speaking on the issue, President of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, said this:
"Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are talented filmmakers who have assembled an incredible cast and crew, but it's become clear that we had different creative visions on this film, and we've decided to part ways. A new director will be announced soon."
Lord and Miller also released a statement saying:
"Unfortunately, our vision and process weren't aligned with our partners on this project. We normally aren't fans of the term 'creative differences' but for once this cliche is true. We are really proud of the amazing and world-class work of our cast and crew."
It remains to be seen what will become of this film, which is still moving full-steam ahead until further notice.
The Untitled Han Solo film will be released on May 25th, 2018. It stars Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover, and Emilia Clarke.
